Resident diagnosed with COVID-19
Residents, Families and Partners,
First of all, we at Redmond Heights Senior Living want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you for your support and understanding during this challenging time. Your cooperation is key in allowing our team to focus our efforts on keeping your loved ones safe and comfortable.
As promised in our previous communication, we are updating you on the situation at Redmond Heights. While we have been taking all CDC-recommended infection control measures, we have just learned that one of our residents has been diagnosed with COVID-19. This resident had been transported to the hospital due to other health related concerns and was tested and diagnosed with COVID-19 while being treated at the hospital. The resident continues to receive care outside of our facility.
We continue to take urgent action to minimize the possible exposure associated with this virus, and all of the interventions referenced in our previous communication remain in place. Our staff continue to monitor residents for signs and symptoms as or any other changes in condition on a regular basis. Our staff continue to maintain infection control measures when interacting with our residents. We have followed all recommended measures to disinfect the resident’s room. We are currently working to determine if this resident had any contact with other residents at the facility prior to strict isolation protocols being put into place for assisted living facilities in the area. In addition to these steps, we are working with the King County Health Department to take any additional measures that they recommend now with this new diagnosis.
As always, we will notify resident’s primary physicians and designated family members of any changes in their loved one’s condition, whether potentially related to COVID-19 or not.
Please reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance. We will keep you updated as additional information becomes available.
